GAINESVILLE — "Urban Meyer had no use for a tight end in his spread offense.
Didn't have one at Bowling Green or Utah — and that offense was good enough to help the Utes go undefeated and win the Fiesta Bowl — and he wasn't planning to have one when he arrived at Florida before the 2005 season.
In fact, he thought the idea of a tight end was a waste of time.
"I hated it," Meyer said."
