This one's for all of you.
I doubt we'll see much more than what we've already at best seen hints of this season the rest of the way (although judging by the several plays we've seen called BACK over the last couple of weeks, and the handful of drops and miscommunications along the way, we are NOT completely without hope for a surprise or two yet), but I trust, judging by the progress of our young quarterback, the talent, experience and progress of the freshman O-liners who by necessity are getting in there now, above all by our OC's history and inclination AND the way our next recruiting class is shaping up, that it's only a matter of time.
So: How do Y'ALL see it? What kind of offense do you envision? Will it "make the difference"? If so, how?--If not, why not, and what do you propose in its place?
OR, Here's an alternate question: Even given our holes in the passing offense, thinness in various places, etc., would you open it up more now? How would you recommend that be done? Is it even necessary THIS year, given our record so far?
What I'm getting at here, of course, is what has more and more been shaping up as the biggest question of all, at least this season (what's left of it)...really two:
With the situation as it is, the players we have now and the ones we may get back before the end of November, by what we've seen, and knowing our OC has had SOME things in the works that for various reasons have not made it into an actual game, what could we do to widen the passing attack, and above all, DO WE NEED THIS IN ORDER TO WIN OUT--and all that implies?
(I put this out there in order to let y'all unload your thoughts on what I consider an area full of frustration, confusion, and controversy--but maybe I'm wrong. It's possible that most find it boring and/or irrelevant. I'm sure SOMEONE will say , either way.)
