What's going on with Miami?

Then this morning I found out, over my morning coffee, that Shannon fired their OC Patrick Nix: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2008/football/ncaa/12/29/miami.nix.fired.ap/index.html

All is not well down there in Little Havana, apparently.

Part Deux: Shannon releases Robert Marve from his scholarship as per a report from Canesport.com; looks like they had a strained relationship.

Likely the rumor mill will start turning again; they're saying he may want to come to Florida or go to LSU. Nothing's known at this point.

Seems to me like the ice is melting beneath Randy Shannon's feet; he just may wind up on the "O-town Coaches Hot Seat List" along with Steve Kragthorpe, the Zooker, and George O'Leary for 2009 if he can't get his house in order.

Harris (stats wise) was the better QB. As for Nix that was stupid letting him go.
