Well it's that time again, feels good to be back and to watch our mighty Gators this year. So who is everyone pulling for in the qb battle? I'm pulling for driskell, I personally think he will give us the best chance to win. It's great to be a Florida Gator.

I admit it, I lean towards Driskel--I think he's the more flexible AND emotionally driven guy at QB, important in college football generally in terms of leadership and practical flexibility--and I see him as a LOT more of an alter ego to Pease himself out there, potentially the embodiment of our new OC's whole approach to offense as manifested at the QB position. Of course, like Lf I was (and AM, even now, if it turns out to be the case after all) ultimately "for" whomever wins the actual battle for supremacy out there--but as is apparently (from what I've been told) the attitude among the coaches themselves, Brisset has HAD every chance to take the role and make it his, he hasn't done so and, even now, with the health advantage he has had during the crucial last 2 weeks, not only hasn't that changed, Driskel has continued to hold his own. If Jeff is even NEAR 100% and puts it to good use during his portion of reps in tomorrow's game, I think the job his.

No preference from me. Honestly, I tend to pick the wrong guy. I did not think Danny Wuerffel should have played as much his freshman year with an upperclassman (Terry Dean) and fellow freshman (Eric Kresser) not really separating themselves. I am glad I was wrong. I am glad I was wrong about not wanting to rotate Jesse Palmer, Noah Brindise, and anybody not in the doghouse. Sometimes, indecisiveness is the solution until someone like Wuerffel steps up and asserts his role in Gator history. Just wait for the lights to come on with one of them, and root that guy on. Since it has not clicked with either one, I would not want to pre-select one as a favorite.

Driskel will continue to get injured if he is forced to stay in the pocket, just as Brantley was injured primarily when moving out of a traditional pocket.
