Florida Gators land a late addition to the class with 6’4” 315 pound DL D’antre Robinson of Jones High School, Orlando, Florida. Robinson requested release from his NLI and will report to Gainesville.
Gators land late commitment from former Alabama recruit Jameer Grimsley.
The Florida Gators have added PWO DL/LB Titus Bullard to the class of 2024! Titus is the son of former Gator walk-on DL/LB Thaddeus Bullard, later known as WWE wrestler Titus O’Neil. Just like his father, Titus needs to add 40 pounds of muscle to be competitive against scholarship SEC athletes. Bullard does have the size and skill to earn a scholarship at a G5 or FCS school, so kudos to Billy Napier’s staff for being creative in getting this Gator legend recruit on campus.

OL Enoch Wangoy reclassifies from the class of 2025 to the class of 2024 and will report in May.
Florida lands former USC IOL Jason Zandamela (2024) via transfer portal. Zandamela was the #1 OL in the class of 2024, moving the class of 2024 overall ranking to #7. This class now features #1 QB Lagway, #1 DL LJ McCray, and #1 OL Jason Zandamela.
Well, we appear to have somewhat reclaimed our original more highly regarded 2024 class (I'd even go further and say that with the latest last moment additions, our ranking might well deserve even higher consideration: Objectively speaking we may well be a "Top 5" class now)...With a good headstart on 2025 now urgently ongoing, things do look bright for the future. Now, if we can indeed surpass pessimistic forecasts as to our likely handling of what many regard as "the toughest schedule among major colleges in the 2024 season", and emerge with a winning record, things could really be gathering speed a year from now. It will all depend upon the actual performance and resulting game outcomes as the coming season gets under way. I cannot remember an opener meaning as much as this one: Beat Miami and the following doors all begin to creak open. I dare not even contemplate the alternative.
With the addition of Cormani McClain and Elijah Badger, the Gators now have the #5 transfer class in 2024.
Well, I am more and more convinced that the talent level has improved now to a significant degree. How much tighter IS the coaching gonna be now is the big question. It seems that will make all the difference.
No surprise, all significant JUDGEMENT will depend on results from here on out--beginning so dramatically with Miami coming to the Swamp for Game One. A fitting "jump off" if there ever was one, right? Not just in strictly practical terms, of course, but intensely emotional terms as well.
Could even be described as a potential "winner take all" proposition. Mounting excitement and dread with each day now--and we haven't even gotten into the dog days of summer yet!
