Maybe someone can explain that phrase - "Graded out a champion."
To me, that implies someone has made the grade of champion, but I've also seen it used here to suggest someone has been graded as NOT being a champion.
Is this some phrase specific to not-Canada?
He spiked the ball basically AT a Bomber, thus the penalty. Yes, the Bomber should have gotten a penalty, too.
That was the first game he played against Winnipeg after being traded from the Bombers to the Argonauts. Lots of emotion, I guess...
As a CFL fan, whenever I hear about Kerwin Bell, I can't help but think about this: YouTube - qb hits himself in nuts after touchdown
Funny how one moment sticks out, despite a great Gator career....
Hey all,
I've been playing this ESPNU game on Facebook where you build a campus and whatnot. Anyway, most of my friends are Canadian (as I am), so they don't give a hoot about NCAA sports, and therefore this game has no interest for them.
But, part of the game is having friends who play...
Neither. I want something Biblical to happen on the field, causing both teams to suffer season-hampering injuries. I don't want anyone to be permanently hurt, you understand, but I want both teams to be mere shell of their former selves.
Yes, but why would anyone believe in the play action without us having established the run game?
Running the ball consistently (not overwhelmingly, just repeatedly) grinds down defensive lines, makes linebackers second-guess their coverage duties, and opens up play action pass.
Running...
And if I don't get SEC channel? Anyone know off-hand if this game will be on CBS, NBC, etc?
Being Canadian means I have to watch a group of idiots playing golf when I SHOULD be watching the Gators put the hurt on someone.
I think you mean that he needs to be focussed on the center in front of him, and where the heck the next snap is going. Last week it was a guessing game, to be sure.
A QB who has to suffer through - what, 5? 8? - bad snaps is already playing from a deficit.
That he didn't walk over to...
Good for me, but bad for him, he did not do well. He looked really good on a number of drives, but a couple of picks and a fumble just did not help anything.
The Alouettes got absolutely spanked by the lacklustre Lions. I hope Leak improves, though. He said that he wanted to "turn Molson...
Not sure. I would say it's not likely as the Alouettes have a Bye week coming up. That gives their starter (Calvillo) an extra week to heal.
Leak did a good job, and like I said before, I wish him well, just not against my Bombers... :)
That game was against my Blue Bombers. I'm glad he's having some success, but of course, wish it was against anyone else but my team.
Interesting moment: he completed a decent-looking pass for a first down, and was pumped enough that he did the Gator chomp. That drive stalled a little, and...
Tebow should be praised for waiting until he's married, not mocked for it - not even lightheartedly.
It's a hard decision, and that he's holding to it shows incredible character.
Yeah, I know; I need to learn to laugh or something. This just doesn't strike me as funny. Too close to my...
I think a better measure of whether he'll do well is to ask players with fast 40 times this question:
Would you like to line up on the other side of the ball from Brandon Spikes?
If they say "No. I would not like that," then I think we can overlook a slower race time.
I'm glad the...
