the one thing we are doing good in this game is letting Murphy pass, and that is the only thing that is not happening with our playcalling. I'm all for the firebrentpease.com, we are not Boise St playing subpar competition, that shit will not fly with our schedule after this game
it's bad...
just heard the quote from the announcer on Pease saying he isn't going to "ask too much" from Murphy and "we need to keep the passes short". WTF, are you serious? He is a QB at the UF, give him the keys and stop holding back our playcalling.
Brent Pease should also be looking at our opponent next week sticking with Texas A&M. Now would be a good time to throw the ball, put your foot on the gas, and not let up until the game is over.
with Brent Pease playcalling, we need to play every play like it's 3rd down. Murphy can air it out, and well at that, why are we throwing the ball behind the line of scrimmage and/or running option plays that put our QB in the direct path of contact? makes no sense.
I've been watching the game, but just got to a computer.
Why the f*** are we doing these stupid ass play calling? It seems like the options, screens, short passes to the flats, are doing NOTHING. Yet when Murphy has to throw vertically up the field, he does it VERY WELL.
Brent Pease needs to...
@DRU2012
the shock I'm referring to, is the performance that Murphy puts on. Even though it's Kentucky, he needs this game for confidence. In no way is beating Kentucky a shock, but our Offense will be efficient, and our Defense will still be lights out.
I just hope Brent Pease lets Murphy...
I just got a "Go Gators" from an audiologist last week, and sure enough saw the UF degree above her desk.
on a side note, I have the hearing of a 80 yr old thanks to the M119A2 howitzer lol.
i think we blow them out, 38 - 0
murphy can move our offense, and more importantly, mitigate mistakes and capitalize on opportunity. our defense shut down Tenn because Murphy kept our offense moving, thus letting the D rest and not have the pressure of the game on their backs like they are...
here is what I noticed ....
for a 1st game, he did much better than any other qb's 1st game i can remember
despite a couple mistakes, it didn't bother him mentally and he seemed to even gain more confidence (driskle didnt)
the offense responded very well to his leadership
he is calm under...
here is why we can't knock our Defense,
http://espn.go.com/ncf/drivechart?gameId=332502390
other than the early TD we gave up. we shut Miami down on everything. But when our Offense can't put a single point on the board after multiple trips to the redzone, you start giving up. I felt like i...
The fumble on Trey Burton you cannot prepare for, Miami defender put his helmet right on the ball, can't knock Trey for that, he is probably our best offensive playmaker.
Other than that, I completely agree with your theory about our Offense, although I wouldn't count anyone out in QB...

Miami was horrible on offense except for the 2 big plays we gave up for TD. Everything else is embarrassing. I wonder if this is our "Georgia" game this year, the ones that we dominate on the field but not on the scoreboard.
This one will...
I thought our Defense was lights out in the 2nd half, if not for their performance, then Miami could have hung another 14 points on us with no problem. 1st half is where we needed our tough D.
I don't get why we keep trying to turn Jeff into a pocket passer, he is not comfortable there. If you...
I just made a thread about this and while he has a point, in no way is our defense to blame. fact is, our offense walked down the field like we all wanted them too and we couldn't put points on the board.
5 turnovers against any team and you deserve to lose. our playcalling did not help...
