It's weird that McCray was booted from the team because Alex Brown was brought on. I had roughly a week to entertain thoughts of the team's D-Line being taken over by former Gators and going to town on other teams...but alas, it wasn't to be so. Hopefully both guys can be picked up by other...
Wow, what a fantastic day for Florida Gator football! Picking up a 4 star recruit that has that many people chasing him down just feels fantastic as a Gator fan. So much for all of the rival fans predicting that Meyer's indecision from December would spell the end of his program at UF.
Oof...I'm sad to see the team fall so short in the CWS, but it's fantastic that they made it there to begin with. Quite a few teams would have loved just to have gotten in like the Gators in. We'll always have den Dekker's miracle catch to remember this year by. Here's to hoping we can get back...
I can't find any tape of him on You Tube, but a 4-star offensive lineman is always a nice add to the team. I hope he's a mauler on run blocking and a brick wall in pass protection. Glad to have him on the team and I'm looking forward to seeing him on the field.
The Chiefs are stacked at running back, but if Moore keeps up this kind of successful effort all season long I imagine the backfield will be him and Charles as the 1-2 punch come next season.
I wouldn't feel too bad about people talking smack to you about being a bandwagon Gator fan, because some of the loudest anti-Gator smack talkers didn't care about the Gators in the slightest until Gator Hating became the cool thing to do and they hopped on a bandwagon of their own. Just keep...
I always appreciate it when a fan base is realistic instead of claiming their team will win every game and the title at the start of every season. I have a friend from high school who went to South Carolina and he has been predicting the Cocks to slaughter the Gator every season since Spurrier...
It was a pretty ugly game. The highlights for me were den Dekker's huge catch and then striking out two batters with the bases loaded. The former was just pretty as can be and the latter seemed like a real tide turning moment. Unfortunately the Gators just couldn't answer to the Bruins most of...
If the Gators come out flat in an elimination game against FSU, then they're in more trouble that anyone thought. The fact that UF is 3-0 against the Seminoles in the CWS is a nice comfort to counteract our 1-3 record against them this season. I just hope that the team rises to the occasion...
I was half watching the game at that point as a friend had come over and I was in a conversation with her and my girlfriend. When he made that catch, however, I interrupted both of them (neither of which cared the game was even on) with my reaction. Absolutely spectacular play by den Dekker...
I'll take McDaniels at his word on Tebow's progress up to this point, but if his biggest issue left is just getting up to NFL game speed then Tebow has definitely made a great deal of progress in a fairly short amount of time. I'm looking forward to seeing him get closer and closer to being game...
You have to love the way that they treat potential recruits. That visit just sounded smooth, clever, and right on the money to try and convince a kid who loves to play football that they're in the best position to make his playing experience great and that he'll have just as good of a time when...
Like the article that was posted in the Gator Football subforum says, this pick up should be a great one for Florida. It sends the message that the running game is going to be important at UF and it says that running backs will have a bigger role now that the offense isn't run by a dual threat...
Here is the first one I feel like adding right now. Just a classic tradition in football, and any time it happens on a Gator sideline, you know they've done something big that day.
I've got plenty of faith in Meyer and his coaching staff to figure out an offense that will make all of these new pieces work exactly how they'll need to. It will be like watching a brand new team next season, but I think it'll be pretty fun.
All five of those games were great wins to be around for. Personally I'd like to add a visit to Alabama in 2010 to the next edition of that list, so here's to hoping all of the cards can start falling where they need to for that one to happen.
The game is early in the season and I think that even though each team is going through a lot of transition, UT is far thinner in a number of places and their coaching regime is brand new so I think the Vols will still be getting a feel for things. All of these things add up to the Gators...
Yeah, I just don't see Donovan on an NBA court making things happen. I love having him at UF and I think in the long run he'll continue to appreciate the choice that he made to return to the Gators.
