Touted middle linebacker visits Florida

"It goes without saying that inside linebacker is a position of need for Florida. The loss of Brandon Spikes last year and Lorenzo Edwards this upcoming season, as well as Brendon Beal’s transfer to Minnesota, signifies the importance of landing a man in the middle.

Over the past three days, the Gators took a big step towards accomplishing that goal.

UF hosted linebacker Lamar Dawson from Thursday to Saturday and made quite an impression on the standout from Kentucky."

You have to love the way that they treat potential recruits. That visit just sounded smooth, clever, and right on the money to try and convince a kid who loves to play football that they're in the best position to make his playing experience great and that he'll have just as good of a time when he is off the field. Here's to hoping that this visit works in UF's favor in the long run, because who knows what he could turn into under Charlie Strong, even if Louisville isn't in the same place as Florida in building their team.
