Florida wins NCAA championship: Gators overcome double-digit deficit, rally past Houston for third title!
Florida roared back from a 12-point deficit to stun Houston and claim the program's first national championship since 2007 in a closely contested victory, 65-63. After trading the lead with Florida in the first 10 minutes, Houston led or maintained a tie for all but the last minute of the game. Houston failed to get a shot off at the closing buzzer as the Gator defense chomped down and forced a turnover as the clock expired.
Congratulations to the 2024-2025 Florida Gators! This is the third championship for the Gators. The University of Florida is now the only school with three national championships in football and basketball.
