No doubt about it--injurywise alone we seemed as "snakebit" as anyone in college football from the start of this season all the way through to Saturday's game in Tallahassee.
No doubt about it, our somehow finding ourselves as a team and continuing to evolve through to our very "RESURGENCE" as the season wore ON has been stirring, a hopeful sign of not only the character but coming dominance of an evebtusk HEALTHY edition of thus Napier-assembled program.
Watching a replay of Saturday's game from the above perspective of course changes my impression from how I experienced it at the time:
A wild inconsistency now seems more the contrast between a poised, hard working and confidently opportunistic Gator squad eventually overwhelming a less-talented or well-led Nole team--DESPITE our injuries and the offense in general having an off night.
One way or another, in retrospect it was just a matter of TIME before that offense found a way to put this one away--and since DJ and his receivers were having their issues on this particular evening, it was left to Billy's longtime rock, Montrell in his last regular season game, to bust one up the middle and scamper untouched 65 yards to finally more or less seal this one for the Good Guys.
So: Onward.
And for the first-time in way too many YEARS, it actually feels like that is something to truly look forward to with enthusiasm.
