30 Days to Gator Football – #30 Earl Everett (’03-’06)

Earl Everett came to Gainesville as a Parade All-American from Bushnell, Florida and played linebacker under Ron Zook and Urban Meyer. Earl was a key player on a staunch defense that helped the Gators win the 2007 BCS National Championship Game. His most memorable play was his pursuit of tOSU quarterback Troy Smith, when he lost his helmet and still hawked him down from behind, forcing a Buckeye punt. I can still remember the bloody nose he received on the play, which did not appear to faze Mr. Everett.

Gotta post the video of that play. Easily one of my favorite Gator memories. The name Earl Everett is forever burned into my brain.

Thanks for posting the video! If a picture is worth a thousand words, then I guess a video is worth 1.024 million words!
