Addazio to Texas as On-line coach.

Yeah, saw that on OGGOA. Unofficial as of right now. But like I've been saying on here, we really shouldn't be happy about losing Addazio altogether. I'd love for him to stop calling the offense, but he is too valuable of a recruiter to just throw away. The man was just named the ESPNU 2010 recruiter of the year. That's not something to be taken lightly.

Look, we're getting hit with some defections regardless; either he's already stopped being a Gator-recruiter and/or there was nothing he could have done there in any event. Supposedly Urban is still "involved with recruiting" behind the scenes, at least recommending certain commits to Muschamp that may need shoring up--and MusCHOMP is supposed to be a MONSTER recruiter himself, by all accounts here at Texas. Meanwhile, as I keep reminding y'all, it's not as if Addazio has been doing such a bang-up job of late at his "specialty", the O-line. We'll be FINE without Steve Addazio.

This is why I appended my post with "wherever he goes". I knew he was leaving with a high degree of confidence, but did not know where. Then again, none of the rumors have been right.

Actually, this will be interesting to watch. I honestly wish he and Temple well. As long as both parties are realistic in their aims, philosophy and overall mid- and long-term expectations, he may do alright. In terms of his recruiting, coaching and guiding young men, this will be a fair test of his true skills.

I'm confident he'll make a much better head coach than offensive coordinator. He has all the intangibles. He just lacks the whole X's and O's thing. I wish him the best.
