Ahmad Black Has Become a Leader at UF

"Senior Ahmad Black sat relaxed in a room overlooking sun-filled Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Tuesday while he reflected on his dwindling time as a Gator.

"I'm ready to get the season on the road," he said. "It's my last one. I'm trying to cherish it."

The safety already has a lot of memories to be thankful for."

Black is a guy that has been quietly a really good football player for the gators. He's been overshadowed by a lot of defensive studs we've had. He always seems to make the tackle and has a nack for being around the ball.

Black will need the front four of the defense to really step up and apply the pressure this year. Remember the FL Gators lost both of their starting defensive ends to the NFL (Dunlap & Cunningham). Him and Will Hill cannot afford to be left back there for too long. So as much as he needs to be a leader, and I think he will, Black still needs great help from the pass rush.
