Gator Fan
I heard some negative things about Fan Day this year. Did anyone go?

Fans at UF's Fan Day on Sunday might hear that message from a burly, 320-pound security guard who's gripping your bicep while you wait in line for your favorite Gator. Compliance rules prevail for this year's event at the O'Connell Center, as fans aren't allowed to bring in their own memorabilia for autographs. Instead UF is providing posters for fans to get signed.
And now answering all your controversial questions, it's UF compliance guru Jamie McCloskey.
"Unfortunately when players have signed various autograph items such as helmets and footballs, they have on occasion been sold to the general public," said McCloskey, the senior associate athletics director for compliance. "This practice could put the eligibility of some of our student athletes into question. We want to be proactive in this area and are asking our fans to cooperate with our policy of requesting an autograph on our team poster only. The poster should be for personal use only and not intended for sale."
