"The lawyer for Florida receiver Chris Rainey believes his client ultimately will not be charged with a felony after last week’s arrest for aggravated stalking.
Police arrested Rainey after responding to a 911 from his 35-year-old girlfriend’s residence. He admitted sending a text that read, “Time to Die (expletive) u and ur???” after she would not let him inside.
Huntley Johnson, Jr., a Gainesville defense attorney who handles most cases involving UF players, said Rainey’s actions do not constitute a felony."
