Dee Finley Doesn't Qualify

Dee Finley was one of our top recruits coming into this year out of Auburn, AL. It was just reported that he will be academically ineligible for the 2008 season.

Finley will spend the year in Prep school and come back for the 2009 season.

Do you think this will have any impact on our secondary?

I don't think this will impact our secondary all that much. Finley was going to be pushing for playing time anyways. With Wright, Munroe and Hill back there we should be fine.

I'm a little bit concerned about the depth we have at safety now that Finley hasn't qualified academically. We lost Finch to a transfer-out and Hornsby to his breaking the law and being booted off the team, so that adds up to three off the roster right there. I'm sure Coach Meyer wll move some players around to make up for these losses.

Wright, Hill and Munroe need to stay healthy and perform this fall.
