Groveland South Lake speedster Jeff Demps graduates from high school Friday and reports to orientation as a University of Florida football recruit on June 23. But before he starts summer classes and checks in with Urb an Meyer on where he best fits in the Gators' scheme, Demps said he is going to try his best to make the U.S. Olympic team in track and field.
"I want to try to make it to the Olympics," Demps said by phone Wednesday -- and he wasn't talking about four years or eight years down the road -- or after he finishes football.
