to say we had a reason to wanna beat cincy and bama didnt have one to beat utah seems weird to me

neither are championship games and their both against inferior conferences

give utah some credit their defense raped in that game and stop giving bama a pass they aint our friends lol

Utah gets no credit from me whatsoever. Alabama does get a pass, and a lot of respect from me. Alabama may not be our friends, but they are our "cousins", sort of like the ones at the family reunion that you fight with but enjoy playing video games with. They are like us in that they are SEC, are building a long-term dynasty, and consistently snag 4 and 5 star recruits to replenish the talent pool. In my book, Utah, Boise State, et al need to work harder to get my respect. The small teams live it up at bowl games, like a yokel winning the lottery. Big teams can afford to be snobs at consolation bowl games, in terms of money and prestige.

i dont care what nobody says utah spanked that ass

just watch the highlights and you will see

and they played a month after we beat them to think thats the reason they got owned is funny to me, people get over much worse in that time

That's the funny thing about two different people watching a game--there will still be two different points of view. For example, I have been watching Nick Saban-coached teams for years now and I knew that the Alabama-Texas game was going to turn out the wait it did--Texas would lose a key player early, Texas would get the game close or even a lead, and then would lose at the end. The way I saw it, Alabama LET Texas burn up energy by letting that rookie quarterback have his way, and then it would apply the press and crush Texas in the 4th. The way Texas fans and a lot of sports writers see it, the rookie QB was impressive in taking over for McCoy and almost pulled off an upset. I will say the same thing about what I saw with Alabama-Utah. You saw that Utah beat down Alabama. I saw that Alabama had nothing to gain in winning and did not play to win. Yes, they could have "gotten over it", but college teams do not have to get over anything after conference championships--there is no incentive for the players to do so unless the national championship is on the line.

This is the kind of thing that happens when players are not compensated for wins. This is why fans should never confuse college football for pro football. They are not even the same sport. Applying pro football analysis to college football is a fallacy.

honestly if it wasnt for tebow, spikes, etc last game as gators and the fact that urban wasnt sure of his return we might have lost to cincy cuz our spirits were broken by bama. BUT those key things gave us something to play for and we PLAYED....
