Foley, Meyer yet to talk contract

Foley hasn't spoken to Coach Meyer about this yet because of peak recruiting season and NSD coming up, but I hope Foley can reward Urban Meyer with a very sweet contract extention and raise that can guarantee UF many more football championships and have the contract drafted so that Meyer will be "hands off" to other teams trying to lure him away from Gainesville: http://blogs.orlandosentinel.com/sports_college_uf/2009/01/foley-meyer-yet-to-talk-contract.html#more

Meyer deserves to be the highest paid coach in the NCAA. I say make it happen.

Same here too. So many Gator fans on other boards are griping about the economy and layoffs at UF right now, but what they don't realize is that athletics generate revenue for the school - the more we keep winning, the more fans are in the stands, merchandise is purchased, and the cash flow keeps coming.

I continue to say YES to a raise for Meyer - keep him in Gainesville, load the contract with "stay" incentives so he's less likely to be poached by another team.
