Former Gator great in trouble

Former Gator great John Reaves was arrested in Tampa, FL for threatening someone with a gun and possessing cocaine. While arresting him, police found a plastic bag of cocaine on him. Reaves claims that the police planted the drugs and that he was only using his gun in self defense against someone that was threatening him.

Reaves is a legend at UF and at my high school alma mater.

I read the article in the St. Pete Times about how he had problems with drugs and alcohol while he was in the NFL. I'm tired of these athletes wrecking their careers because of drugs and alcohol. There are guys who played college ball who don't do drugs and alcohol and they don't get a chance in the NFL.
