I'd rather have him over del Rio. This lsu team is good and we're in this ball game
I believed that BEFORE this game (based on last wk's game w Appleby vs Delrio's starts since coming back)--and at THIS point, even WITH my various criticisms and caveats, barring major injury its gonna, GOTTA be Appleby rest of the way.
And if he'll take the extra third of a second to plant his feet before throwing, and quickly, decisively taking off when he's open and receivers are NOT, he'll keep drives alive--at LEAST giving the D more rest and very possibly the O putting a few more points on the board themselves.
Our Head Coach is a "QB guy", so I look for him to do everything he can to help Appleby make these adjustments.

Our coach is known to be the qb whisperer ,once he gets his qb our offense will be fun again.

I have few doubts left he's EXACTLY "that guy", and he will get not just one but eventually a moving assembly line kind of succession of good-to-great-ones coming into and thru the program over time--but for now, the big challenge (and right now, the ONLY one) is to get whatever he can outta THIS one next TWO games at LEAST.
If Appleby can just play consistently within himself, stay in the upper range of his own realistic skill set, Coach Mac should be able to design an offensive gameplan that, with our D's standard level-of-performance this year sustained thru the same contests, at least give us a CHANCE against ANYONE.
NO ONE outside our Nation will think this, let alone say it--but we've been saying this for years now, and it's more true than ever:
"If we just had a PASSABLE offense we'd be feared by all."
