A lot of positive for the offense. Idk how it looked on TV, but the offense seemed to look good. Austin was impressive with his throws and reads, I was also impressed with him and the reason option. Muschamp got a lot of stuff yelled at him including me doing it lol. A older couple from SC sat behind us ,and was saying that's uncalled for when people would chant stuff towards muschamp. I was like I defended that baffoon and you will get tired of doing it also. My son was so impressed with his first trip to the swamp. We spent a ton of money at Walmart buying gator gear. Was a great trip and dread going back home tomorrow , but was pleased with the entire trip and happy with the outcome of the game.
Perfect, man, in every way. Espec doing it w wife n son: HE'LL never forget it. Talk about "the making of a lifelong Gator"!
Heck, it was an experience like that (in my case, a whole season of home games with MY dad--the only time we spent together during that time of my childhood) that made the difference for me. I could have gone to ANY school I wanted to when the time came: My mom wanted me to go Ivy League, my dad of course dreamed of me graduating "the youngest graduate, top-of-class at the Air Force Academy" in Colorado Springs, HIS dad was ready to "pull some strings" and get me an appointment to West Point--so I went and disappointed/pissed off all of'em without thinking twice...Why was this a surprise? How could there be any doubt? I'd never wavered since that fall-winter driving up from Clearwater all those Saturdays with my dad: Always a GATOR! So don't YOU be surprised...
(Nah, you're lookin' FORWARD to it, right?)
Meanwhile, best I can say for THIS team and/or the rest of this season is, well, we ARE BADLY beat up...whatever chances we MIGHT have had timing, rescheduling, injuries and the relative healths of our team and those of the teams we'll be playing just pretty well preclude anything but MAYBE a shot at FSU. Otherwise we lose out, I fear.
You're right about Applebey--not sure how or why, but he's the better of the two "experienced qbs" now. Still think it's a good time to begin getting Franks some reps, but "saving the red shirt" seems to be a big factor in all of that --and I've discussed elsewhere already why I think that's no longer a truly relevant consideration.
Oh well...as things stand, can't help but watch and hope--but let's face it, "it'll ne through hands half-poised over our eyes, "almost can't look", emotionally speaking, when watching this next one at the Tigers' place. If only...aw, stop it Dru: is what it is.Be glad y'all were there, at the Swamp, THAT day, THAT game aweb. But I'm sure you know that, feel that way already.
