Looks like d is tired. Nuss kept calling run plays when it wasn't working. Looks like the streak ends today. Smh
Yeah, you said it--all of it...But it was the way we totally collapsed here, couldn't even manage to keep it close--there's that late Gator TD, but if we coulda played ANY D when it still made a diff we'd at least be within a score here at the end.Well I guess we are back to square one just a middle feeder in the sec. I really wish Lamar Jackson would have committed to us

I don't think it was Appleby's fault--but he IS the journeyman-level QB he was reputed to be. I don't know if Delrio is THAT much more skilled--but I think he is the more fiery LEADER by far, and that might have made some difference, helped get the D some needed rest anyway. But we need one of those "special guys": We're Florida, so we SHOULD have a shot every year at "that guy", if he's there.
But we have problems all OVER the field, turns out. Look at Calloway: he has obvious strengths, star talent--but he makes ridiculous mistakes--I mean, he KEPT making the same one, in wirse and worse positions deep on punt receptions (and only our eay D kept those from killing us in the FIRST half)...and tgat's just one of a number of weaknesses that were revealed all OVER the field, both sides of tge ball, today...
But the most discouraging part has been the poor adjustments AND bewildered aimlessness on the SIDELINES, by our coaching staff that was most disappointing today--and worries me the most. 'Cause unless they ( especially our HEAD Coach) are as good as I thought, you will comtinue to be right: we will STAY the "mid-level feeders" who have "pretty good seasons" get some attention here and there and usually have a shot at a New Year's Day Bowl--but that ISN'T what ANYONE is brought in here for now...Mac KNOWS he is here to make the playoffs, win the East, beat the West then at least PLAY for The Championship.
Exactly--and normally I'd wanna hear what he has to say post game...But given the way we TOTALLY collapsed in the 2nd half, and yeah, had seemingly NO plan except to hold ON when we came out after the break, well--What's he gonna say that I need to hear right now? "Yeah--we KNOW that was inept COACHING, Coach!"...and no Godawful "learning experience", either--that was so bad a collapse, in every way, I would seriously and strongly recommend y'all just BURN THE FILM! I mean it--and make that a kind of ritual that basically comprises your Sunday "postgame postmortem" this time. Y'all are starting all over, for REAL!Agreed we didn't bring him here to go to outback bowls and win a few games. He was brough here to win a natty
That was one of the most flounderingly INEPT COACHING jobs I have ever witnessed--surpassing even some of Muschamp's more egregious "we got 10 points let's hang on" efforts...It sunk into Addazio-range. I am in a state of numb shock: I thought we'd come a lot farther than that.Coach Mac is supposed to be an offensive minded coach and yet they only got what eight yards in the third quarter? Not the time to let up on the gas pedal, well anytime really. It was time to stomp on it even with the new QB. Guessing Appleby didn't start a game in Michigan (AKA the Big House).

Exactly, on both counts. It was practically UNBELIEVABLE. I really thought there was no danger of this Coach and staff doing things that way. Not just Mac let us (and himself) down, but that was the opposite of everything Nussmeyer preaches, too.If coach Mac was running offense under Saban (he was the Alabama OC under Saban a few years ago) like that Saban would have yelled at him. His conversative play calling didn't get any yards and the defense got tired.
Again: I totally agree--we woulda made em pay with a coupla more sustained drives in the first half, put up a coupla more scores that might have tilted things KUST enough to take em outta any real CHANCE at that kind of come back--but we showed big gaps all over the field, both sides of the ball, in the 2nd half, and our D, properly rested instead of being run ragged practically the whole 3rd quarter, has enough talent to have kept all that from getting out of hand.Del Rio being out really killed us I believe with our offense.
Yep. Angry, disappointed, disillusioned--all to a point bordering on depression. Signs of the proverbial "bad loss".I'm still pissed. This loss is hard to take
yeah. If no one else does it, I'll at least find somewhere that has em, put the link up here...prob won't be til sometime til Sunday earliest tho--I am Gator- AND footballed-OUT at this point, not just with the fact of the loss, but the HOW AND WHY, right?Yeah someone needs to post a link of mcelwain post game comments
