Our goal is 96 hours of no alcohol-related trauma surrounding the Gators' home game against the University of South Carolina.
Many remember the 2005 match-up between the University of Florida Gators and University of Tennessee Volunteers for what happened on the field. UF won 16-7.
The staff at the Level I Trauma Center at Shands at the University of Florida likely remembers it for what happened off the field.
Over a 36-hour period on that September weekend, more than 25 separate emergency surgeries saved the lives and limbs of numerous trauma victims.
