Spring Ball

It's a strange lull.
I mean, Spring practice is in session for football, there appears to be much to feel optimistic, even excited about--but there seems to be a kind of hesitation, a reticence to really commit, at least so far.
Maybe it is all the conflicting "static" out there, talk of who ISN'T fully healthy "yet", continued recruiting controversy and a general suspicion and uncertainty, even discomfort regarding this new age of CFB (call it what you want) "pay for play".
Then of course there is March Madness, "The Big Dance" and of course the inescapeable rise of our Roundball program here in 2025: We SHOULD be a #1 Seed--an exciting, oncoming force that NO ONE wants to face...Yes, we are still a football school first, but for the first time since BOTH programs were last national powers are we at center stage as the Conference Championships sort out the final seedings.
Golden's boys have much of the campus spotlight, to be sure.
But more than anything else, I sense a certain "nervous uncertainty", mixed with time-worn impatience, has us distracted:
Tired of all the talk, already SICK of all the "point/counterpoint".
We KNOW there is still a long, LONG way to go, and just want to let our team "GET THERE":
THEN we'll see.

Many teams will be holding back during spring ball because they do not want to give players another opportunity to enter the portal. Some teams will skip the spring game. I expect the Gators will have a watered down spring game since they are limiting Lagway’s snaps.

But what is that "limiting" really all about, in our case? I'm referring to DJ, of course.
How serious IS it? We continue to get all kinds of varied tales from various "insiders" (some real, some purported--hence the quotes).
That is why I posted my latest, "SICK of it!", as a separate thread--I am more sick of the communication process than anything else; I don't necessarily want it to pollute our own unfettered views.
I suppose I simply do not trust the "messengers"...I just HOPE we do not have to begin wondering if our Coach is among them.
If he is obscuring some things for tactical reasons, that's just part of bigtime sports nowadays, but where's "the line"?
What could BE the various potentially valid reasons to be playing it this way--other than the unhappy possibility that he has a so far unidentified injury that is truly, seriously limiting his throwing motion? And just how and why is it better to hide the hard truth, or on the other hand to leave it out there as a "possiblity" that obscures some alternate plan, while the fans worry incessantly and the trolls have a field day?
