Gators still in search of this year's rallying cry

"Even before his arrival in Gainesville, Florida head coach Urban Meyer was well-known for his motivational tactics. From his refusal to call rivals by their school name to bringing in famous speakers, Meyer has never shied away from whatever it takes to get his team ready to play.

And he has no intention of backing away from that strategy now."

I think that the Bama loss should be used as a false motivator for this team. Just wait for someone to mention the SEC Championship loss as what this team should aim to remedy and then Meyer can step right in off of the bat with all sorts of messages about how this team hasn't earned a trip to the Championship game, how they aren't last year's team and how they have to create their own identity and fan fare. Make it all about a bunch of nameless people who have to step into the vacuum and make sure that Florida football doesn't take a step back. It's up to them to prove that this program is about more than just Tim Tebow, to prove all of the media wrong - Orlando Sentinel - and it's up to them to prove to him that they deserve to stay. Coming to Florida isn't a free walk to notoriety, you have to earn it every day by your conduct in the class room, in the film room, and on the field.

Basically, make it all about them forming their identity and not being able to ride the success of previous years.
