They will play Bama in the SEC title game. Also I own Coach Meyer an apology and will get it to him after the Gators win the SEC title.

Said some things on this board after the Ole Miss game.

somethings... as in trying to "zook" him?
any new coach needs a few years to prove themselves. urban has won an NC with zook's players and looks like he has a great chance to win with his own players this year, so long as we win out and the votes go our way.

If you read Buddy Martin's bio "Urban's Way"; he pointed out that 43 of those players on the 2006 NC team weren't recruited by Zook - they were either Meyer's or Spurrier's. Pardon me, but I needed to set the record straight there.

It doesnt matter who recurited who. Urban did a great job of bringing in the spread while utilizing the talent that was already there. The way he tweeked the O in 2006 to use Leak and Tebow was wonderfull....... Urban Meyer is a great coach and right now he has the Gators in a good spot to win another NC...... GO GATORS...................

Thank you for setting the record straight.

i agree, this is what i meant by my prior comment. regardless of the players being spurrier or zook recruits, meyer was able to get the job done with player he may not have necessarily recruited. Quickly!

look at michigan you have a new coach with players that are not ideal for the new game plan. they are not doing well this year, but i would expect them to get better in time or at least when players are recruited to fill the needs of t new coach.
Urban had the same problems with UF but was able to adjust his game plan to the players he had at the time. obviously you can look at the his record and see unquestionable success considering the circumstances.

Michgan fans need to be patient with Rich Rodriguez. Rome wasn't built in a day, and he needs to being in some talent who can be compatible and comfortable with the schemes he's running up there, which can't be accomplished overnight.

Urban Meyer is very wise. Every problem has a solution, and he finds one instead of making lame excuses. Instead of doing what the Zooker did with Rex Grossman and not working with him to make the offense effective, Meyer met Chris Leak halfway and developed an offense around him and the other talent we had on hand that he could work with. He nudged Leak out of his comfort zone and got him to make plays out there - this was more visible in 2006. Meyer is innovative and is always looking for even newer strategies to throw at opponents - he always manages to stay one step ahead of his competition and this is another reason why he's successful.
