Getting to Stafford

I think if the Gators can get to Stafford early on and lay a couple of big hits on him, we can get him rattled and force him to make bad decisions.

He has thrown 5 interceptions in the last 4 games. I strongly believe that we'll be able to add to that total, and possibly return one for a touchdown.

You are 100% right... Last year we didnt do a good job of hitting or even getting to him. We need to hit him hard and early........

We got a pick six against him last year, and I think getting another INT is very possible, as well.

While I think our defensive line is better than LSU's, I'm not sure sure we can keep Stafford under constant pressure.

Unfortunately for us, the Dawgs O-line is finally starting to kick it into gear. The only line we've faced as good as Georgia's this season was Ole Miss. Hopefully this game will turn out better.

As a side note, Terron Sanders has really begun to impress me. I don't think I've seen his name mentioned once on these threads yet. It wouldn't surprise me if he was the guy that broke through.

If there's an obvious downside to our defense this season, it's been the lack of good sack production. There have been several lmissed sack opportunities nad I really haven't seen any aggreessive attempt on our part to really go after and/or pressure the QB.

Stafford is a hard kid to rattle. It can be done, but he can take some hits. Hoiefully, if we can get to him early and take their game plan away from them (Alabama) we should have a great shot..

We sacked him twice, one of them when it was 2nd and 2 around our 10 yard line. It led to a missed FG.

We hurried him around 10 times and nicked him up a bit, too.

Going forward, we need to be getting to the QB even MORE. One of our keys to beating Vandy next week will be applying the same pressure to Mackenzi Adams (or whoever Bobby Johnson decides to start).
