Has the OBC lost it?

South Carolina lost last night to Vandy.

I didn't watch the game because the NFL was on. Did anyone see it? Did SC look really bad?

Do you think Spurrier has lost a step (or two) in coaching?

SC didn't look all that bad. Chris Smelley looked bad. He threw two horrible picks. Plus, South Carolina lost Kenny McKinley in the first quarter and Mike Davis sat out a quarter.

However, there's no way they should have lost to Vandy.

USC has had QB issues since Spurrier got there & it has not gotten much better.
The only reason I say Spurrier has lost it is because he gave the OC title & play calling to his kid!?

He hasn't had a quarterback in S Carolina (well a good one) since he got there. Well he has Garcia from Tampa but I doubt he wants to play because he got arrested three times since he arrived however Smelley not the answer either is Beecher.

Put Smelley or Beecher at Florida and I'd be surprised if we had a winning record...seriously.

What I don't understand is why Spurrier can't recruit a decent QB.

SOS' main issue this year at Carolina is strength at QB. Mitchell was a senior last year, so now he has Smelley and Beecher who aren't really that strong.

The one player he has who, if I were an NFL scout, would keep a close eye on is Captain Munnerlyn. Any team needing to rebuild their secondary depth chart should consider him in the 2009 draft.
