OK: I did my own version of "losing my lunch"--in verbose fashion, all over that LOOONNNNG thread I wrote in the middle of the night, "From the Bottom of the Cliff..."
Sorry...as I noted in a reply to FrozenGator, "...pretty self-indulgent."
So I edited it--severely, I promise. Just left in several main points, the ones I really DID want to hear some feedback on. There's one idea in there that I KNOW will be controversial, but I believe has merit: an idea for getting us a QUARTERBACK.
So give it another chance. It is a fraction of it's former (wandering and ridiculous) length.
I EXPECT some disagreement, but I want to hear your thoughts.
Thanx for bearing with me, and giving me a second shot (tho' I'll understand if not...I groaned when I first looked at what I'd posted this afternoon).

No, FG, you were right--I knew it myself the moment I looked at it for the first time since posting it the other night?/morning?...I know you were kidding, and APPRECIATED your approaching it that way, but the proof (if I needed any) was in the fact that no one else had responded: it was WAY too much--all over the place--and not necessary.
I think this "tighter" version proves that.
No problem, man...oh, and I BTW, I get a kick out of seeing things like "colour" in your posts--I never thought about it before, but I guess if you get a "Lower 48"-version of a software program (or in the case of a States-based site like GE, right?) the spellchecker flags that. As I think I've mentioned, I've spent a lot of time up there, mostly in T.O. and Van, but also time in Quebec when I was younger, Labrador when I was REALLY young (My Dad was stationed on a D.E.W. line base up there, and my sister was born with dual-citizenship 'cause my mom went to a midwife outside the base), and I've both driven and taken the train across the whole country (including your fair-but-long-wintered town), so I have a certain amount of familiarity with and nothing but fond feelings for Canada.
