Sounds Like Meyer is pissed off! This is from the SEC media days:

Gators, Meyer still miffed by UGA's celebration

Florida coach says neither he nor team will forget 'big deal'

Hoover, Ala. — In his new book, "Urban's Way," Florida coach Urban Meyer makes it clear that Georgia's excessive celebration following its opening touchdown last season was a "big deal" and something that he will remember "forever."

"That wasn't right. It was a bad deal," Meyer says in the book, which is scheduled for a September release. "And it will forever be in the mind of Urban Meyer and in the mind of our football team. ... So we'll handle it. And it's going to be a big deal."

The Gators' coach was asked about that statement Wednesday at SEC Football Media Days what.

"It was uncalled for," he said. "First of all it's against the rules. If you really look at it, some players could have been thrown out the game for leaving the bench.

"As for the impact on the game ... I understand the motivation of it. It was a big deal. It was just a big deal."

Quarterback Tim Tebow was asked how that episode might impact this year's game, scheduled for Nov. 1 in Jacksonville. Both teams have received first-place votes in preseason polls.

"I think it will definitely intensify it that much more," Tebow said. "I think it will be a very big game, to say the least. It could be two of the best teams in the country playing for the right to play in the SEC championship and maybe for the national championship. They're a huge rival of ours, and I think that just increased that much more this past year. I think that will inspire us that much more.

"As far the touchdown dance in the end zone, it didn't do anything but fire me up. I wasn't upset or anything. It was a good call by Coach [Mark] Richt because that changed their season. It gave their players a spark and some energy and something to be passionate about. Whether it was right or wrong is not up to me to say. Good for them."

Meyer has every right to be pissed off over that celebration by UGA last year. It was low class on Richt's part and unsportsmanlike.

I dont think you need to worry about UGA being ready just hope you defense is ready! this is just more whining by your coach, if he was so pissed about it then why didn't he do something about it sooner like during the game? tebow is a class act and said that he thinks it was a good call by Coach Richt and it didnt up set him just got him pumped up! I think UF fans and their coach need to take a lesson from tebow! crying over it only makes UF fans look like whiners and like mark richt said

“What intensified the rivalry is that we won, OK?” and that is the only reason Urban Cryer is mad!

If the shoe was on the other foot, you folks would be saying the same thing.

And it's Urban MEYER. This is a Gator board. Show some respect.

Once again dawgystyle talks about us whining over the celebration,Were not whining were talking about how so classless it was.Florida state and the vols dont have to dance to get pumped to play us.Even though we beatem up pretty good, they still come to play.Maybe this year georgia will all line up for stretches and do the macarena to play us.

We have to remember, this is a Georgia team that celebrated like they just won the national title after they barely beat Vanderbilt at the last second.

talk about classless, just remember dont throw stones in a glass house. I seem to remember the whole UF team jumping p and down on the eye at death valley just before floridas loss to LSU.

Come on dawgystyle! How many teams have done that to UF's F at midfield. Or FSU's logo, or any other team. That's a common occurrence. Having a whole team rush the field after a TD DURING the game is not a common occurrence.

That's right. Seems it's OK for everybody else except for Florida to do that.

Richt can apologize all he want, but he intended to do what he did and he can-ttake it back.

And another thing - how come nobody's pointing a finger at the Zooker? "Illinoise" beat Michigan State in 2006, and the Illini disrespected them - they started a fight after the game. They did the same thing to Ohio State last year after getting a fluke upset win over the Buckeyes. BUT - the media and everybody except Notre Dame fans and a few UF fans still feel sorry for Zook after he was fired, so it gets swept under the rug as much as it was a low-class thing for his team to do.
