"A lot of fans want to know why some freshman are not playing and from what I have learned it is very simple-practice. Players are required to prepare, give great effort and show a good attitude to earn the right to be considered for playing time. The bottom line is Meyer does not feel comfortable putting a guy on the field that only shows up on Game day."

I haven't heard too much complaining on the matter. Lots of freshmen are getting serious playing time. The only one that people seem to bring up repeatedly is Debose though. There was all the hype about him taking over for Percy. That's just not going to happen. First off, he is no longer a slot receiver. That position is held by Rainey, Hines, and Clark. Debose plays wide at X and Y. And those positions are held down by better players than Debose right now. I firmly believe Debose will be a major factor in those positions next year and the year after. But he just isn't ready right now.

Brady pretty much explained one reason why Will Hill was out for those first two games.
