It could be worse if Meyer did quit

Addazio would have been the head coach and the Gators would have probably lose to Miami (OH) and USF if he was the head coach.

quit Meyer please if your head is not in it anymore. Do yourself a favor along with UF. You are a great coach but have lost your ways my friend. You have probably put together the worst coaching staff I have ever seen in college football. No one person including a great coach is ever above the program.

If Meyer really did keep his retirement then Mullen would have been brought back to replace him. Addazio wouldn't have been named head coach. But I'm not so sure I'd want Mullen as the head coach. A lot of recruits were actually turned off by him back in the day. We almost lost Tebow to Alabama because Tebow didn't like Mullen's attitude much.

Didn't know that.
Anyway, don't think it'd be Mullen...Foley would go for someone from outside the SEC, another (relatively) young, flashy and splashy hot shot. If he has to make the Big Change, he'll do it as Big News. That's just my gut-level "take" on the subject.

Foley always has a list of replacements in his desk drawer in case of an emergency. Mullen is on that list.
