The coaches love Matt Patchan

Freshman DT Matt Patchan’s father played at Miami, so it was assumed growing up that he’d eventually play for the Hurricanes.

The Gators seem to be ecstatic they have him instead. Now if they could only get four more.

“If we could bring four Matt Patchans into the program every year, if I’m guaranteed four Patchans, I’ll promise you we’ll be making a run at the national championship on the defensive line,” said defensive line coach Dan McCarney, citing Patchan’s passion, relentless effort and coachability. “He’s that kind of player.” It sounds like this guy is an absolute beast. He played 25 downs in the opener.​

haha, my coach used to say that if he had 10 more PK's (initials of a player) then he'd have a pretty good team

now that PK kid is playin for a rival school that my team opens against this friday


Let's just hope Matt Patchan doesnt transfer

He got some playing time last Saturday, and after the way we looked out there I'm impressed. Now, since we're going up against scUM tonight I hope he REALLY brings his "A" game!
