thats why i say let the talking be down on the field or court depending on the sport, because just like the nfl draft a 5 star or 1st pick overall can always be a bust or just not help out right away. Brandon James is astonishing especially for being rated 2 star overall and being the best kick returner in the whole ncaa.

I was talking to alum about this same subject. The system that is now in place doesn't have to have the 5 star next to his name but needs to have character and just excel in the job coaches have asked to do. We know we want speed – dedication – unselfishness – and talent….everything else will take care of itself.

Exactly. A player can be a prized recruit in the eyes of Rivals and Scout, but in the hands of the wrong coach his talent can go to waste. On the other hand, some guys who were overlooked by the high-school scouts could turn out to be steals for their schools, Brandon James being a good example of that.
