Tua down again, Jalen up again and throwing on sidelines. Tua is REALLY hurt this time. Will he be in a cast with crutches at the Heisman ceremony?

I think that's IT for Tua--maybe for the season. ALL on Jalen now.

Look: I don't care WHAT Saban says: They are paying for ALL his mistakes and sins of arrogance now. Maybe Jalen can rally them, pull this out--but it need not have come to this. They are sending for a cart for Tua. This is why you go easy on an injured star at QB, Nick. You MAY be saved in the end by the honor and decency of his back up, but all the evidence of how you'll eventually be beaten by your own stubborness has been laid out this season, right along with your undeniable strengths.

So: Bama eaks out a win in a game where they clearly were NOT at their best...They lose their star QB along the way, the backup and former leader comes back and LEADS them back--but Georgia looked good, even "BETTER" than them for much of THIS night at least--and NO ONE can tell me that other than the 3 teams currently ranked above them, there is a better team at this moment in the "Top 10" that is better OR more deserving of inclusion in that "Best Four Teams" list than UGA.
However, no matter how good the case, politics, expectation and social pressure can all together yield strange results (for example, I am hearing FAR too much of this "Oklahoma has already punched ITS ticket" bullshit to predict the Bulldogs' inclusion with any confidence now).
Not that a Tide/Sooners game wouldn't be interesting--but damnit, it ain't RIGHT...and anyway there was a real chance there for a Texas vs Florida Sugarbowl that'd now likely include Georgia instead if they aren't in the CFP.
Aw fuck it--I'm worn out and scrambled...Weird Saturday, where there was lots of ups n downs but no Gator game or even much in the way of a clear Gator-PAYOFF (which MIGHTA at least been different if we had beaten Mizzou instead of letting UGA beat us TWICE!).

Georgia chokes again
Yeah--they HAD em: Even finally managed to knock their star QB outta the game, but then let Hurts beat em again! (Consider this: Tua's last 6 passes= 0-for-6 ... Hurts' first six throws= 6-for-6
...Hmmmm. You think maybe UGA saved Nick Saban from his own stubborn, hide-bound inflexibility? It has seemed for a WHILE that playing Hurts (at least for a time) was the way to go; at the start, it was more about seeing Tua getting a chance to heal (which might have avoided the whole near-debacle that ruled for most of the game), but at the end here tonight it seems Nick was DETERMINED to stay with Tua, clearly FAR from his best, until fate stepped in, took him outta the game for good and FORCED the substitution which seemed to ultimately claim the WIN. SABAN saved from himself.

Thing is, though: As I aluded to before, I REALLY HOPE Nick DOESN'T learn, that sticks with his "I know better than ANY of Y'ALL"-attitude and stubborn, unwavering approach to, well, to EVERYTHING...
THAT is how we will BEAT him, ultimately, mark my words. Time will come, when talent meets talent, that our Coach's flexible inventiveness will be able to exploit various aspects of Saban's predictable stubbornness. And that'll be OUR "Big Night"...

Effing Alabama. They showed some moxie today. They may not have been better than Georgia for all 60 minutes, but they were better when it counted.
