Meyer gets a mulligan season in my book. He will have a long time to sit and ponder what happened this season. And I have faith that he'll make the necessary staff changes. If nothing changes by the beginning of the 2011 season then I will finally concede that Meyer has lost it. Maybe the guy just wanted to give Addazio a full season. Maybe he felt he owed it to his buddy.

Which costed the season, he better remove him after the season.

ofcourse everybody can see that Reed is a much better fit and I am sure that the changes will b made. Urb will not go thru another season like this next year, but thats no reason to turn on him after one bad season...

We shouldn't be so quick to assume Reed is the best option. We were quick to assume that things were addressed and fixed after some wins over UGA and Vandy. Look how that turned out. Reed was moved to TE because he told the coaches that he didn't think he could learn a full offense and handle all the throws a quarterback needs to make. Put him in the same passing scenarios that Brantley is put in and the results would probably be the same. He definitely needs to be put in for some formations. But I don't think people should start jumping to the conclusion that Burton is the answer for our quarterback problems. It's an easy mistake to make when Brantley is doing so crappy. But with lack of blocking our quarterbacks get, we could have Peyton Manning out there and we'd still be putting up crappy stats.

I'm glad that article surfaced on the Miami Herald. Sports analysts are predicting Florida and Miami in the Chik-Fil-A Bowl. Miami is going to tear us apart give Urban Meyer/Steve Addazio something to think about in the continuing rebuilding.

Even the honorable Pat Dooley agrees with most of us, even though the fans can afford to go a little more overboard:
Gator consolation the best team in the SEC East will be representing the SEC East in Atlanta. | Gatorsports.com

And a nice summary:

Only Gators get out alive? I don't think so, says Steve Spurrier:

Welcome to a new era of Gator football, ladies and gentlemen. Protecting Saint Urban won't stop this from getting worse. The offensive coordinator is responsible for the offense. The head coach is responsible for the offensive coordinator. If Steve Addazio's head doesn't roll soon, then the Gator Nation's patience will be pushed beyond the "let's cut Urban Meyer some slack because he lost Tim Tebow and 11 current NFL starters" Get Out of Jail Free Card.

Also, using the Ron Zook Meter, compare an Urban Meyer coached team in a down year to a Ron Zook coached team in any year. As bad as we sucked under Ron Zook we never lost three in a row, never lost three home games, always kept the offense ranked in the top five--despite never beating a ranked opponent at home--under Ron Zook. Here is the kicker--Zook lost five games at home in his three years. Spurrier lost five at home in twelve years. Meyer has lost three at home in one year, plus one home loss in '07. A loss to Appalachia State in the Swamp would sink him just about to the Ron Zook level with five home losses in four years.

Yup. That's where things are at (and thanks for the Dooley-link--I get tired of him and don't always read him anymore, but this one not only is dead on, it takes some idea of how far realization of how bad things are, and who is being held responsible by the wider fan base, and relays these realities even further).
