So what if

Tim Tebow chose Alabama over Florida... What would he be doing on that kind of an offense.. Even when Shula was their coach there offense was not even close to an offense Tebow could excel in. It makes me wonder what waste Tebow would of been if he was a Crimson Tide... He obviouslly made the best and correct choice by coming to Florida. I am not saying that because i am a fan but because the offense Meyer runs requires an intelligent QB that can throw, run and read the defense.

Timmy Tebow was fortunate enough to land in the perfect offense for him. Even if Spurrier were still around, he would not have fit into that offense. He fits so well into Meyer's spread offense that it would be hard to see him on any other team, unless they used a similar spread. Even then, Timmy had not expressed interest in those teams, and I doubt he knew how well he was suited for the spread until he started working in it.

He wouldn't have a championship ring and he wouldn't have a Heisman. I'm sure Tim could excel in any offense, but the spread suits him perfectly.

If he enters the NFL draft, we'll see just how well the spread offense suits him versus a pro-style offense, probably Detroit's. Timmy is a good athlete, but sometimes his passing is suspect. Having a quick-read/simple-read system has not helped us see how truly developed his passer decision making happens to be. A USC pro-set offense theoretically develops passer decision making better than a spread offense, which is why Timmy will have to work hard to convince scouts that he is not simply a system quarterback.
