Can't believe a journalist asked Tim such a personal question in front of all the media... but Tim was asked if he is a virgin, to which he replied "Yes, I am". Tim mentioned that he is saving himself for marriage ... a true testament of his faith.

I'm a Christian myself, and even knowing that Tebow was also a Christian, it still came as somewhat of a shock to me considering the fact that he's been the big man on campus ever since his first day at UF.

Definitely major props to him.

Yes, Tebow's sure wasting his life by not having sex all the time and getting girls pregnant. Not to mention having to deal with STD's and paying child support.

What kind of person wouldn't want to have to deal with all that?

I think it's awesome!
For his own personal walk in life!
Also for Christian young men that admire him, to have the idea that "yes, you can wait until your wedding day" . That's your faith and it's not completely ridiculous!

And for the girls to know that there ARE men who want to wait. Not many of them, but they're worth waiting on and finding!

Yeah, every time a person has sex before marriage, they're automatically going to get an STI or cause an unwanted pregnancy.

Of course not. But there is always a risk, no matter what groups like Planned Parenthood try to say. Not to mention that having premarital sex opens the door to a bunch of other problems as well while providing essentially nothing but temporary gratification.

That idiot who asked Tebow that question was way out of line and it was really none of anybody's business, but Tebow handled himself well and spoke honestly.

I'm sure our rivals have more fuel for smack talk and trolling over that comment, but Timmy has nothing to be ashamed of.

Very admirable. It was to be expected though. It's one of the tenets of his beliefs. I think after he answered the question he stated that he was expecting the question. This IMHO just reinforces the stature of this young man, not only among his peers but to all who are aware of him.
