It's really amazing what some student-athletes will reveal via the keyboard. The Gator Nation football team is one of the more active social media teams in FBS, and coach Will Muschamp himself is a user.
I have updated the Twitter/Facebook listing so that just about any player with an account is now listed.
July 4th did produce some interesting Tweets as you might expect in general One tweet about Chris Rainey from another user for example, "Chris Rainey just lit off a firework out of his hand that exploded over the bar. Happy 4th!"
-Here's a write up of Ex-Florida Gators star QB Danny Wuerffel's battle with Guillain-Barre syndrome
-The O-Dome just got a $900k facelift, complete with new seats and wider aisles in the lower level.
-EA Sports NCAA '12 will drop next Tuesday and we'll have some tidbits as far as rankings for various Gators. The Gators are ranked 20th overall. You can see the full rankings here.
A new feature on the game this year is the various college football mascot and or traditions. The Gator Chomp will be included in this year's game.
As the season gets nearer we'll look more in-depth at the 2011 schedule. I think the goal is to go 4-0 to start the year and split 'Bama and LSU. For the remaining six games the goal should be 4-2. 9-3 is the target for this season, but depth is an issue so we'll see.

You know people will buy anything when Gene Chizik has his own book coming out after a single impressive season.
The trees at Toomers Corner are still alive but may not make it after they were poisoned last year by a crazed 'Bama fan.
Former Georgia AD Damon Evans has a new life in Boston, following a scandal which cost him his job last year.
