Hope you're right about the final result in our game. Me, I will have to see us go on the road in the SEC and actually BEAT someone before I will even consider picking us ahead of time.

The fact that Vanderbilt scored 20 points on Georgia gives me hope. Georgia wins 37-20 but will not know if Brock Bowers is injured until test results come back.

Vandy clearly wasn't, ISN'T the "doomed doormat of the SEC" they have up til recently been written off as "doomed to always BE"...you best henceforth bring your "A-game" when you face them in years to come.
However, as we saw with UK, there is a whole qualitative DIFFERENCE between the "mid-pack" SEC programs and the elite ones now: the Wildcats could pound on US, but the tables were quickly and thoroughly TURNED a week later when they had to face UGA.
Now they are back to more comfortably dominating Mizzou. In fact, it looks to ME that THESE Wildcats are at a level that on OUR better days we can probably handle. So, there well may BE at least one or two potential opportunities for wins left on our schedule after all.
So: ONWARD.

Now WE (finally) have a bye-week...Then it's into J-ville's Gator Bowl and the Cocktail Party vs Georgia. I don't expect to WIN there--but I DO now dare to HOPE we can "somehow hold our OWN", not embarrass ourselves as UK did.
In fact, the only other game where we are likely to be similarly low-rated would be the very last one, against FSU
Of course, that one's different; I would LOVE to somehow find a way to close the expected gap in THAT one. I will say no more.

I do agree, I think the Gators have a chance to at least compete against Georgia for a good game depending which Gator team shows up. Is it going to be the one from the Tennessee game or the one from the Kentucky game? Not to mention they have a tough road against all but Arkansas after the Georgia game.

Former Gator and current Cincinnati QB Emory Jones was 14/26 for 96 yards, 1 TD, and 2 INT in a 10-30 loss to Iowa State.
