What would it take for them to fire or demote Addazio?

We don't have "a few months", GainesvilleBornandRaised...

Not if we want to be in a position to do anything NEXT year, no matter WHAT happens next.
As for the rest, Zooker and Escambia'94, well, you've got MY view of what is going on. I think we all DO agree on the bottom-line "crux of the problem" however you explain how it came to this.
"Perfect storm of crap" indeed! Worse still, it gives Addazio and "New" Urban cover for their continued rationalizing, at least in their own minds.
"We need to improve." "We need to eliminate the errors." (We're too cagey and secretive to do more than hint at all our injuries, but we'll be so much better when we get healthy...)
Meanwhile all the other mistakes, missed opportunities and wasted time continue to grow and pile up as the program slides into disarray.

I'm not good at planning large movements but it would be nice if somebody designed a "Pro-Mullen" slogan tee shirt and everybody wore it to the MSU game.

It's sad that we have to turn on our coaches like this but it is necessary in the SEC. In the blink of an eye you can get overtaken and become an average middle of the pack squad in the conference. It's happened to every top tier program in the league in recent memory. The Gators are not immune to this disease.

I do not think turning on our coaches is the answer....by a long shot! I think they need to make changes, but to full out say that it is time for Urban to go is not the answer.

If you go back over this and other recent discussions (check out the "...Back On the Fire Addazio Bandwagon"-thread) you'll find that none of us came to this point suddenly or easily. For myself, I STILL can't quite get my head around the sad sinking realization that we've already LOST our Head Coach, at least the brilliant, passionate guy who was deeply committed to this program's perfection and dominance. I call him "Old" Urban, and THAT guy needs to come back and clean HOUSE! "New" Urban is another matter, content to step back, make vague pronouncements and let his "Bulldog"/front guy Addazio run the offense, take the heat and accept mediocrity. One way or another, that must end. That's what we're saying.

Urban made the switch last year to change the play caller in the last game, he may do the same here soon. The only thing that makes sence is that he is giving Addazio every chance to change and to run this offense since he stepped up when Urban was down. It is obvious Urban believes in Family and Loyalty. Will he let the whole team go down completely before making changes???? I guess we will all find out...

Please understand, I am not at all happy with the offense, I wasn't since last year. But, I think we owe the coach who won 2 National Championships for the Gators a bit of slack and a wee bit more patience..... a wee bit. ;)

Urban is a smart guy and great coach, there has to be something going on that we as the public are not seeing or hearing about. I guess time will eventually tell.

Again: The "Old" Urban WAS a smart man, a great coach. This guy has ALREADY let the team go, let it slide, let it down...
At what point did loyalty to Addazio surpasse all else important in his personal and professional life, his vision for this team, his support and belief in his players and THEIR success, his own pride and drive for excellence, his committment to all of us?
Until recently I never doubted ANY of those things. It has hit me like a ton of bricks.
I didn't want to see it, but once you do, there it is.
