Where to go in Jacksonville for game?

Hello all you Gator Fans.

I was wondering where should a bunch of guys go in Jacksonville for the Florida vs. Georgia game? Best party spot?

I wish I knew of some places to go and watch the game up there in Jax.

If you could find a link to Jacksonville's Gator Club online, I'd check that out and see if they have any events planned for the game or if they mention a place to meet up and watch the game.

A few years ago I had a friend living on Orange Park right outside of Jax, and we managed to find a sports bar in town with other Gator fans there since I was up for a vist from Orlando. That was back in 2002; we were invited to a party at the Landing but when we found out that the crowd was mostly from the other side (UGA) we went to the sports bar instead.

The Landing used to be absolutely insane for Florida vs. Georgia... and in it's own right, it still is. However, in the last few years they've started charging $20 cover to get in, so that's deterred a lot of people. Don't get me wrong though, it's still an awesome atmosphere, especially if you've never been.

Other places that might be good to actually watch the game if you don't want to go to the Landing (which has a huge jumbotron set up outside to watch the game for free), you can try either Sneakers locations (9A/Baymeadows or at the Beaches). Sneakers is a huge sports bar and always packed for Gator games.

I would have to agree w/ leakbrewergator, that is a happenin' crazy partyin' fun locale.

I'll be taking a party bus with the Pinellas and Tampa Gaor clubs to the game. I hope I actually make it off the bus....

Thank you all for all the input, it is greatly appreciated.

It will be myself and 3 others traveling to Jax in a boat and looking to have a great time and is sounds like the Landing is the place to be.

If you get there early enough, you can dock your boat right there at the landing. Just try not to get it blocked in.
