    Upon Further Consideration...

Remember "The Great Wall of Florida"? I think that was back in the Reeves and Alvarez days. Can't remember an offensive line that got that kind of recognition since then. Of course, I'm old and might have forgotten some.

    Upon Further Consideration...

I still believe the biggest need is a few dominating offensive linemen. We have sufficient talent elsewhere to have a good offense if we could consistently block somebody. The best QB in the conference wouldn't do well if he's constantly running for his life and has a meager running game...

We're using the Muschamp offensive playbook.

    Gameday: Gators Host Mizzou (10/15/16)

I think it comes down to recruiting and we just haven't gotten it done. Have to start to get a consistent offense to get the recruits interested....catch22. If improvement doesn't start happening, the rumbles will start.

Oh, for a few good offensive linemen. (and a top-flight QB)

Luke Del Rio named Florida’s starting QB

I get the feeling that Luke just might be in the mold of Danny. Not the strongest arm but gets the ball to where it needs to go. Time will tell.

    The Spurrier legend

One reason to name Florida Field for Steve. From the 1966 Florida vs Auburn game. The coaching staff debated on the sideline whether to kick or go. The distance, though, was just beyond placekicker Wayne Barfield's range. That's when Spurrier chimed in. He wanted to kick it. Next scene...

    Florida Gators 2016 Recruiting Class

I also thought there was a big need for some quality O Linemen. But, didn't appear to get much help there.

    Florida Gators 2016 Recruiting Class

At first glance, the overall haul looks a little disappointing. Too many 3's and not enough 4's. Hopefully, the coaches are better evaluators of talent than Rivals, etc.

Gameday - Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl - #19 Florida vs #14 Michigan

Get rid of all those who aren't smart enough to be Gators. Take our lumps until these kids figure out how to act.

Gameday - Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl - #19 Florida vs #14 Michigan

I have hope and excitement for what's to come. I think 2017 will be a great year. 2016 not so much. And, BTW, HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
