Anybody concern about this

I'm not concerned. That stat is skewed by the fact that Hill blew a couple assignments wide open. Our corners are solid, Ahmad is the man, and Hill has moments of brilliance despite the occasional error. Coach Austin has done a great job with the D. The linebacker unit is solid. And even though we lost big names on the D-line, the rotation we have going right now is brutal on opposing O-lines. They just can't keep up and get worn down. The added depth from the young players could very well makeup for the loss of Cunningham and Dunlap.

Strong defense helped lead us to win that 2006 national title; key plays on defense won games for us that season - strong case in point was that blocked FG attempt by South Carolina in the last seconds. Defense also won us the National Championship game that night over Ohio State. If that proves to be the case again this season, I for one am OK with it.

Will Hill's missed assignments cost us six points; that was sloppy on his part. He has some catching up to do having been suspended for the first two games, and once he does he'll be a factor out there again.

As you may have already figured out, my prior comment in this thread was tongue-in-cheek and just my way of venting over being frustrated with all the whining going on since the season started. It's really starting to wear on me.

I'm not concerned with our D at all. Simms' two long bombs really inflate his numbers. The first TD was a genius call that would have worked on any defense. The second one was just a blown assignment by someone making their first appearance of the season.

Plus, UT threw the ball nearly the entire 4th quarter.
