Anyone know what John Brantley is doing these days?

I know the gator nation doesn't like him very much, but what is he doing now after going undrafted and being released by the Ravens over a year ago?

John Brantley IV and John Brantley IV are coaching up high school QBs out in Ocala. Once in a while, Ron Zook pops in and gives a talk.

I won't trash talk on the Brantleys. They were good Gators that did not pan out well, but they still deserve our respect. Heck, I am over Ron Zook as well. Sure, I will make some cracks on the Zooker, but he did some good things for Florida that garner respect from the older members of the Gator Nation.

This is why it is important to get a college degree. Maybe he is making more money with his degree and some football camps than he would as an Arena Football League QB.

True though LA Kiss promised Tim Tebow a three year deal worth "millions". I'm still trying to figure out how much AFL players make. Probably not enough because most of them have other jobs.

The average player in the Arena Football League makes between $25,840 and $38,760 a year. The average salary in the NFL is $770,000 a year. [ref: ask.com].

It is a decent living, but these guys need other jobs. Just one camp pulls in $700 a head times 50-100 kids. A specialty training center charges $1000-$2000 for a week session times a dozen clients. Private sessions with these guys can run $3000 over a few weeks times a few students. Then they have to pay out rent, insurance, facility fees, equipment costs, plus salary to assistants and special guests. Then there are the other guys that cannot run camps--they have to get real jobs.
