Bama Game Thread

URBAN OHIO ERA BEGINS
Tough loss guys. Alabama looks unbeatable I see them getting stronger and stronger and rolling everyone this season....Oregon, Nebraska, Ohio State it doesn't matter. Repeat for the Tide.

What did we learn? We CAN slow down Ingram and Richardson. Neither reached 100 yards. Bama does well in the red zone, and can win ugly, but there is something to build upon. We got penetration, but did not own the line of scrimmage. Brantley can hit the receivers in the hands deep, but they have to haul the ball in.

My takeaways:
- We are our own worst enemy. Execute, execute, execute!
- JB let loose, but the receivers need to catch (we can argue later over Bama's defensive holding no-calls)
- We switched through formations well, and if we are looking ahead to Atlanta maybe it made sense to use the dive play to hide page 3 of the playbook (assuming it exists...or, we really do suck...I'm not on the fire Addazzio bandwagon yet, but I'm getting there.)
- Chas Henry is the MVP!
- JB can run when forced to. He throws well when running. Let's use that more often, and let Burton try the same.
- It's not as bad as it looks. Let Bama wear itself down while we practice on the SEC East. It might come together in December. It's too early to assume much now.

We need to finish. We drove down the feild to get shut out multiple times on the one yard line.

I truly feel our run game is nothing. The dive play is overused and hardly works. We need to find a way to get Demps involved without using it... I dont see why he doenst come out of the backfeild more, what LB is going to be able to stay remotley close to him?

Brantley is FINE, IF he can be a drop back QB.. When he can sit back and throw the ball, he seems to find open guys.

This offense needs to adjust, will it?

Our defense proved it can stop the run, Im a little concnered with the inability to create limited pressure. I felt like they had all day to drop back and pass, forcing our corners to cover for a lone while which is nearly impossible.

Do you remember 2007? We had a dropoff that season, and give the fact that we lost a lot of power players after 2009 it was foolish on the part of those who didn't expect that same thing this year. My expectations were not set as high as others, and therefore I'm not caught up in the rest of the hysteria after things don't go as "expected". We can't be expected to win every :censored: game every season; to think that way is unrealistic.

If you don't think Urban Meyer is doing a good job in coaching this team, I'd like some suggestions as to who could do better than he could do right now. Myself, I wouldn't want anybody else - I challenge anybody to think of somebody else who could do better than he can do for the Gators right now.

I didn't expect perfection. It's one thing to drop some games, but it's something entirely different to get blown out by 4 TD's and not even look like we should be on the same field as another team.

Good point. I did not think we would win, but I did not expect to get embarassed. Then again, I should have looked at history more closely--these games are rarely close.

I'm torn between whether we played possum or if we really did not belong on that field. My belief sways depending on which bottle of Jack I'm on.
