Nuke Tuscaloosa before the Gators arrive. Just kidding. Address the issues that have let us win ugly against weaker teams. Athleticism takes you so far, but Alabama can match our athleticism position by position. They schwacked us last year through one thing we lacked then that we have either been shaky on have been playing possum with this year--execution. If we execute Gator football, we can beat any team in FBS or FCS. When we execute poorly, we can beat anyone but the top tier teams with athleticism and luck. One other thing to consider is whether we need to win this game because wins are important, or do we need to save some energy for the SEC championship? We can beat Bama, but it might cost us some injuries. Demps has a flat tire, the O-line is banged up, and Bama's line gets stronger in the 2nd half.

Short answer: execute Gator football, dominate the trenches, and don't get injured.

That, and continue to follow Urban's Plan to Win. DEFENSE will be one of the keys; stopping Bama on the rush is a MUST.

Suit up tebow and harvin. The offense is going to have to hit some big plays in the passing game. The defense has to slow down Ingram and Richardson and put bama in obvious passing downs then pressure the qb. We have to win special teams and the turnover margin. I'm not sure if the boys of ol Florida can put together the type of game they need to beat bama but I sure hope they do. Theyll definitely have to play better than they have all year.

knock ingram and richardson on their ass and wrap up

pass the ball enough to have a good run/pass balance

try some trickery do a fake run with burton and let em bomb it deep to somebody or something like that we got nothing to lose we're the underdog so we gotta be ballsy

force turnovers

and just play good on all 3 phases

Win at the line of scrimmage.

If I had to choose one and only one statement, that would be it. That is what I meant by dominate in the trenches, and if I had to trace our meltdown last year to something other than the generic "lack of execution" or "prima donnas looking ahead to the NFL draft", I would say that we got pwned on the line of scrimmage, on both sides of the ball.

if this team plays at its full potential they can win this game. im not sure if theyre quite there yet though. this could be brantleys chance to really step up and lead this team.

Good point. We are getting fired up over one data point--Kentucky. We could see improvement, but we have to ask ourselves if we think that we were "slow" the first three games because we were saving up for Alabama, if we were just slower finding our identity, or if we seriously had problems.

I stick by my pre-season prediction that we will lose against Alabama this time, but if we truly are improving then we will win the rematch in Atlanta. Despite my doubts, we do have a chance to win this one.

I don't think we should worry too much about the running game. I honestly don't feel anyone in the country can keep Alabama under 150 yards rushing unless they're willing to give up 350+ yards passing. As long as we don't turn the ball over and prevent a big run play, we can win.

Any given day.....based on the reports coming out of practice this week, the guys were practicing very well and Coach feels confident heading into this one....we're the underdogs, but I'm not ruling us out yet.
