Brandon James not moving to WR

James, who was a preseason All-Southeastern Conference pick by the coaches and the media as a return specialist, isn't moving to receiver full time, but he will line up there occasionally this season, according to Meyer.

James is too small to be a big time WR. He'd never make it in the NFL so Meyer is smart not letting him play that position in college.

Whether he'd make it in the NFL as a receiver or not is irrelevant to te Gators now. He would be tremendous in a slot position catching bubble screens or quick slants. His elusiveness would allow him to make that one guy miss, and he could leave the rest up to the blockers.

It's not like he'll be a full-time WR. He'll be used more as a gimmick and I'm fine with that.

I also see James being used more or less as a "decoy" whenever he'll be lined up at the receiver slot; that on only as a target for short-distance underneath passes. More than anything we still need him to be effective on special teams as a punt/kick returner just like he's done in the past.

Im guessing he will be used for reverses and jet sweeps when he lines up at WR. Also as a decoy like O-Town said
